Hi Laura,

I just wanted to let you know that little Cocoa is really doing well. She is a joy to have around. Unless my daughter has snuck her into her bedroom, she still sleeps between my head and the headboard. As she is getting bigger by the day (6.5 to 7 lbs), I am fighting a loosing battle for space on my pillow!  I am constantly surprised at how affectionate she is. She likes to lick my nose before curling up to sleep, and often lays on my hands to ensure petting. Tara says she licks her eyelids during the night.

Cocoa really loves Coal. Coal is a 65 lb standard poodle who is pure black (black as coal) and stands 27" at the shoulder and considerably taller at the head.  You'd think the kitten might be concerned about his size, but that's not the case. Coal was standing in the front room, minding his own business, when the kitten came tearing into the room and attacked his ankles. Coal jumped from one foot to the other to try to get it away, then resorted to pushing the kitten away with his nose. She rolled onto her back and let him snap at her a bit, knowing that Coal doesn't have a mean bone in his body. Coal then started licking the kitten's belly and stepped away from it thinking the fight was over. However, Cocoa jumped up and re-attacked the poor dog!! And on it went until they both tired of the game.

Our Chelsea, Coal's cream-coloured mother, isn't as sweet. The kitten rubs noses with her now and then, but doesn't mess with Chelsea. It's kind of neat to see Chelsea walk over to see the kitten and then see Coal get up to stand between his mother and the kitten!! He actually will push Chelsea away from the kitten! So, there is never a dull moment at our place!

Hey Laura,

Just thought I would drop you a line with an updated picture of Shiraz.    He has gotten quite big.  Bigger than my other 2 cats.  He is a doll though.  Loves his attention in the morning.  He gets in the tub for a drink & sits on the bathroom counter to ensure he gets a chance with the hair drier.  He walks around like he owns the place.  Not to keen on children, but still wants to be in the center of everything. Hi Laura:

Update on Molly:  She is very sweet, a real softie.  But, when she has to be, she is also very feisty!  She is extremely pretty and is such a happy cat.  She is growing like a weed, sweeter with every day. Never stops and loves to play ball!  I just love her!  She’s great! Janice Gibb

Just wanted you to know that Bailey is doing great.  He has received his last set of kitty shots today and he weighed 6 pounds.  Both cats get along great and seem to have a good relationship.  Bailey is always on the run.  I think he needs some Ritalin to slow him down - Ha Ha!    But he has a wonderful personally and is so sweet to be around.  I have attached a picture of Otis and Bailey.  Karen

Hi Laura,

As you can see, Max is settling in quite nicely. He is so cute and so loved by all! Here he's having his nap with our son Jacob.

Hi Laura,

James/persik Semenov is doing very well. He is loved by everyone including grandparents. He will be introduced to my parents today. They are anxious to meet him.

He is very active, it took him no time to master the stairs and to get to know the house. James runs around the house like a little horse. He does very well on his own while we are away at work/school. James met his vet for a general assessment on Oct 8/04. Dr. Dickenson thought that he was a beautiful and healthy baby cat. He weighs 3.0 lbs (at 8 wks - 2.2 lbs).

Laura we had to go through some adjusting at night time. James sleeps like a baby (meaning he is up every 2-4 hrs). He wants to play and at night mainly with Katie's hair, purring away as if he is on seventh heaven. Now at night he has his own bedroom with all basic amenities (he is next door to us). James usually wakes us up at around 7:15 am. As soon as I hear him I let him out. Last night we let him fall asleep with us (he looked so cute and so comfortable). James was up shortly after midnight  having "a purring party" with Katie’s hair. So I took him to his own bedroom. He did not complain.

Laura, I must say that he is very smart, very cooperative and very adorable. James is snoozing happily right now. Too bad I have to go to work tomorrow.  I wish I could take a maternity leave for a few months.

Laura, thank you for James/Persik.

Hey Laura,

The girls are great!!!  They adapted beautifully to our house...Lexi came out of her cage and ran around/played like she had always lived there.  Phoebe however, was a bit more shy...but she came around...yet if Lexi wanders out of Phoebes sight, she'll meow for Lexi...it's really cute!

They just got their shots and the vet couldn't believe how healthy and beautiful they are!  He said you did a fantastic job raising them!

My mom LOVES the girls...our past cats she would pet...but never picked up.  The girls she picks up, hugs and kisses...I know in the future when I buy my own Ragdoll I will be definately coming to you.

Hi Laura,

Just thought I'd drop you an e-mail and let you know that Seymour is doing great!  He's incredibly sociable, and follows us around the house from room to room.  He also really enjoys hanging over people’s shoulders, and starts to purr every time he's picked up.  I think he's doubled in size since we got him - it looks like he's going to be a really big cat!  Here are a couple of pictures - as you can see, he really knows how to relax!

Anyways, thanks for everything!  We'll definitely recommend you to anyone else looking for a Ragdoll!

Hey Laura,

Things are going great with Mia! I had forgotten how funny and clumsy kittens were. She went to the vet on Monday morning for her needle and check up with my vet and slept away most of the day after that. Her weight is on target and she goes back in four weeks for her rabies shot.

She seems to have some very typical ragdoll characteristics ... she certainly is a 'flopper' when she chooses to lay down and she looks as though she could be a fetcher in the near future. She talks a lot ... in fact she yapped the entire drive to London and she meows if she can hear me in the house but can't see me ... I call her name and she makes her way towards my voice ... she meows if I am busy making dinner or doing house work or if she thinks she is being ignored. If I meow back at her she gets louder and feisty. When you said she was a Diva you weren't kidding!

The size and multi-levels of the house were very confusing to her at first, not to mention the stairs! She would see me through the banister and leap down through the rungs forgetting to even consider the stairs as a path of travel. We have been running around and practicing getting around the house and it seems she is catching on. She needs to be on any counter top that I am standing in front of ... watching her try to get up on the counters has been hilarious ... she has fallen in a sink filled with water, half in the toilet and inside a drawer that closed after she landed in it! For a cat with whiskers she sure does bump her head a lot! She hits it every time she comes out from under the bed and she tries to jump up through my glass kitchen table if she sees something interesting through the glass from the floor.

As far as house training and eating she seems fine, but she does love her treats! I give her a few in the morning and a few at night. She sleeps with me in bed, or should I saw on me ... if we are in the same room, she is not content unless she is lying on some part of me. We play for 30 minute sessions and when she can't keep her eyes open she falls asleep for a nap. I had forgotten how active those little ones are at night ... she is up and ready to go at about 4 AM batting at my nose with her paw ... if I play with her for a few minutes then she will fall asleep again and sleep until I get up.

She seems to play very actively and gentle. I haven't been scratched or bitten. She mimics me on the scratching post and the condo I got for her. I got the same one as yours from Petcetera on sale for $70. When she is playing and decides to scratch the stairs we go to the post and I scratch and she follows.

Well, I have made three trips to the pet store and she has absolutely everything she could need ... the feathers on a stick she loves, but I have to hide them because if left her on her own with one she destroys it! She carries around a felt mouse in her mouth and has a lamb doll that she sleeps with if I can pry her off of my neck, chest or legs. Mia is very playful but at the same time has a gentle nature and is quite laid back when she wants to be. I am very pleased with her.

Thanks,

Kelly

Hi Laura,

Spencer is the best kitten EVER!  His temperment is amazing!  It's so cute how he will flop over and want his belly rubbed all the while purring up a storm!  I know know that you haven't truely lived until you've been loved by a Ragdoll!
